The Slovak Debate Association’s mission is to promote critical thinking, open-mindedness and citizenship of young people. We are an NGO established in 1999 as a spin-off of the local Open Society Foundation. In 2014 we had about 1000 members in 50 debate clubs across the country. In addition to working with teachers, we run debate programs at high school, middle school and university level, as well as a public discussion program and a summer academy.

Estonian Debating Society
Estonian Debating Society is an educational non-profit, bringing together debate students, teachers, coaches, trainers and volunteers since 1994. Our mission is to promote a mindset in society where a stronger argument is the determining factor in any discussion and to teach necessary skills. We support debate education by establishing debate clubs, offer debate, public speaking, negotiation and argument construction trainings for businesses, public institutions, NGOs and private individuals, generating income for our other activities. We also organise public debates and discussions in online and offline media and physical locations, work with political parties, think-tanks and umbrella organisations and run public campaigns to improve the level of reasoning in all forms of social dialogue.
